Radon Testing

View Sample Reports

What is Radon and why should I have a test done? Testing is the only way to know if you and your family are at risk from radon. The EPA and the Surgeon General recommend testing all homes below the third floor for radon. The EPA also recommends testing in schools.

Millions of Americans have already tested their homes for radon. You can fix a radon problem once detected. Radon is a colorless, odorless radioactive gas which comes from the natural breakdown (radioactive decay) of radium. It can be found in homes, schools and workplaces. If left undetected and untreated it can pose health risks.

We feel it’s important to learn about Radon Gas, where it’s found and how it can effect you at home and in the workplace. Please click here for the most frequently asked questions.

Our Radon tests are performed with continuous Radon monitors that are calibrated annually to the standards set by the EPA process. We use the Sun Nuclear 2800.

The Surgeon General has warned that radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the U.S. today. The EPA has declared radon to be a "Class A Carcinogen," which means that it has been shown to cause cancer in humans.
